WE NEED YOUR HELP TO RECOMMEND IMPROVEMENTS
The Parent and Carer Alliance C.I.C are excited to announce that we have been commissioned by Professor Luke Clements and the School of Law’s Legal Entitlements & Problem-Solving (LEaP) Project at the University of Leeds, to undertake a consultation into Disability Needs Assessments.
The aim is to utilise the experiences and expertise of Parent Carers and their families, and to incorporate their ideas, as to how a needs assessment could be done more effectively and result in better support for families whose children have additional needs.
WE NEED YOUR OPINIONS AND EXPERIENCES
We have reviewed other disability needs assessments and combined them into this consultation document of ideas we think could be included in a child/young person’s disability needs assessment - an assessment which focuses on the needs that arise as a result of the disability, NOT from safeguarding.
